After school haircut

Yesterday after school I was lucky to have the opportunity to get a haircut from my freinds dad , to be honest I was very shy but once we gt there I became more comfortable with them not only because they let me jam their game but also because I was able to get a fresh haircut form my freinds dad. From the looks of it his razor was sharp like a pencil that has just been sharpened,sharp like a nail becoming one with the water leak in the wall. Although i’m very close with them I still was shy but I trusted the process and he asked me this question which was,What made you want to come to me ? and I said well I always see your mean as cuts you give you sons so I was like yea I want to get a haircut from you.

Wednesday’s PAL’S Activity

Yesterday on Wednesday May the 8th at 11 o’clock Mrs Dimond set up 2 new activities to try but first she asked us what we know about netball and what are the main contributes that are very essential in netball. Once we knew what the main abilities were in netball we finally played a netball activity’s named tale tag, and bench ball, every round we had the rules got harder. Overall I think the experience was fun but I also think that playing those activities helped me learn more about team work and sportsmanship.

 

Crayon superhero Captos

This week for summer learning journey we went on this website called Crayon and we had to think of a super hero that was related to our culture then once we chose our super hero then we had to write what is their weakness and do they have a nemesis or write about what there abilities are and what they can do. I chose a combination of Captain America and Kratos. The abilities that he has is he can regenerate health,super strength and lastly he can consume enemy’s attacks then use it against them. finally his weakness is the feeling of disappointing his family and friends.

Cybersmart Quality blog posts

Today for Cybersmart I had to go on my blog and look for one of my blog posts that have the 4 most important components which are the category’s and tags, unique and interesting title,digital learning object and the last which is the most important information about what I learnt. I chose my athletics blog post because I looked to see if it had those 4 important components and I strongly agree that it did because it had interesting words and the post was only about the big topic which was athletics day. But it also had a lot information about what I did and it answered the question which was, Did I have fun?

Athletics day 2023

Last Friday on the 10th of November Glen Taylor School hosted an athletics day event. This event was a very competitive and exciting event because we got to dress up as our house colours and compete in a variety of fun and exciting activities. One of the fun activities that was one of my favourite activities of all in this event was the well known sprints activity. This activity was my favourite because it was involved with running but also another reason why this activity was my favourite is because heaps of my freinds are very fast runners and I like to have competitions with them sometimes because I am very competitive as well. Overall I am very proud of my performance for racing my friends but I think I can do better then what I did. After the races it was lunch time and the day before we were asked if we wanted to pay/order food like sausages and ice blocks,drinks. My thoughts on this event it that it was very fun and competitive.

Island Breeze Performance !!

Today for our school assembly we were very lucky because a group named the Island Breeze came to perform for us. this experience was very funny and entertaining for me. If I had to rate the performance it would be a 8.5/10 because the speaker was really good at making jokes and really did an amazing performance for the islanders that were watching. After that he taught us about excepting others and never tell anyone that you are not unique. Overall I am very grateful to the performers for letting us experience that amazing performance for Glen Taylor School.

Maths/Numbers

Today for maths task we are learning about rational numbers and irrational numbers and how to properly use it in maths. Did you know that there are so many more numbers in maths then you think? Also we learnt about what the words whole numbers and natural numbers and integers mean. Whole numbers is the number 0 counting forwards. Natural numbers means the number 1 counting forwards. lastly the word integers means the number 0 counting forwards and backwards but when your counting backwards it becomes negative.

Probability Games/Maths

Today for maths this morning we did 3 fun and exiting activities. The 3 activities was the bottle flip challenge,flip the card challenge, and lastly we had greedy pig  the rules for the 1st activity aka the bottle flip challenge activity was pretty simple and very challenging because you have to get a water bottle then fill the water bottle up to the percent of your choice then you’re supposed to flip the water bottle 10 times and then see how many times you can get the bottle to land out of ten tries. Overall my favourite activity would definitely be the bottle flip challenge because the feeling you got when the bottle landed was priceless.

Maths learning task:

Today for maths I learnt how to calculate numbers using range,median, and mode. I also learnt that to use range you arrange the numbers from smallest to largest and also I learnt what the word mode means. The word mode means the number that appears the most. Lastly median means arrange the numbers from smallest to largest then eliminate the numbers from smallest to biggest until you find the middle number.

My Australia Holiday

I went to Australia with my uncle on September 12th for a 2 week holiday. I travelled to Melbourne. It was really fun. We went to the movies and watched the new Ninja turtle movie. We also went to an arcade and played mini golf. I also played some basketball because there was a basketball court right next to the house I was staying in. My cousins and I also went to explore the mall. Going to Australia was an amazing experience.
